The WDC (Women Development Cell) and NSS unit of the institution together work for the spread of awareness regarding issues related to upliftment of women and contribute towards betterment of society respectively.
This year too session on the importance of ‘Eye Donation’ on organized by WDC head Mrs. Saroj Lohar and was held in the presence of Principal Dr. Y. S. Kadam, Vice Principal Dr. Kiran Gajjar.
Volunteers from Rotary Club conducted the session wherein they were first introduced by the WDC head and were invited over to speak on the need of eye donation .Dr. Girish Trivedi emphasized on how necessary it is to donate eyes to those who need it on urgent basis.
He also spoke on the process that is followed for donating eyes of a dead person.
He further stated that not only is Eye Donation important but we as responsible citizens should also be considerate about donating other organs of our body after we would no longer be a part of this world.
He urged students as well as lecturers to be responsible enough is contributing for betterment of society. The session ended with vote of thanks delivered by Principal Dr. Y. S. Kadam.
